Sign up for our after school STEM programs in Hyde Park at the Southside STEM Station. This unique opportunity if FREE, and we welcome middle school students. Spots are limited, and registration will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
This after school STEM program will foster engagement in STEM fields through interactive STEM experiments, enhance critical thinking, creativity, collaboration among students, and build STEM confidence, and connect students with STEM professionals and educators.
STEM Activity: Building Bridges Challenge
- Learning Objective: Introduction to the engineering design process and the
basic mechanics behind building bridges while designing bridges with arts and
crafts with the ability to test bridges for durability and strength with weights.
